What is VASER liposuction?
VASER liposuction uses ultrasonic technology to target fat tissues specifically. This technology spares adjacent structures such as blood vessels and nerves.
How is it done?
VASER liposuction is done as a day surgery case where patients can go back home after spending a few hours recuperating at the clinic.
How long is the liposuction?
The time for liposuction will depend on the number of areas to be done. But generally, an hour to an hour and a half per major area like a tummy or the back.
How is the recovery after liposuction?
The recovery after liposuction is pretty well-tolerated by most of our patients. The first two to three days are the most painful; however, the pain can be managed by pain medications.
A compression garment is worn immediately after the surgery and worn for a month. This garment will help with the swelling and maintain the shape after liposuction.
When will I see results?
Not immediate but you will see improvements in your shape once the swelling has slowly gone down. You may also experience minimal weight gain due to the swelling. Do not be alarmed as this will go away in due course.
Can liposuction be combined with other procedures?
Currently, VASER can be combined with J-plasma machine. J-plasma uses plasma from helium to help with skin tightening.
