Breast augmentation is a very popular surgery, not only in Dubai but also all over the world. As any medical procedure, once you decide to have it done, you should keep in mind the post-operative care you will need to have so that you would be prepared once you are discharged. Find below a few of the post operative care advised by Drs. Maurizio and Roberto Viel at London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery.

OPERATION

The surgery will take one to two hours to be completed and you will need to rest in the recovery room for two to three hours before you will be discharged from the London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery Clinic.

 POST-OPERATIVE CONSIDERATIONS

After your breast augmentation operation, you are most likely to feel sore and tired for the following days, but you should be able to move around in 24 to 48 hours. After 5 days, you will be asked to return to the clinic to remove your dressings.

 SUPPORT BRA

Once you have removed your dressings and your wounds checked, you will be asked to wear a support bra for the following four weeks. The bra should be used 24 hours a day in order to help support your breasts.

DRIVING

You are not allowed to drive for one week due to the hand movements done that may affect the placement of the implants.

GYM & EXERCISES

Going back to the gym and doing exercises are allowed only after three weeks post surgery. However, do make sure you don’t perform strenuous exercise.

TRAVELING

You should be able to travel within 48 hours after the breast augmentation surgery.
